Mad at Mommy! - First of many times I am afraid!
Yesterday I woke up late – so I rushed around and got myself ready for work in about 5 minutes. When I was ready I ran in and woke up Liv and started rushing her through her morning routine. Liv put this on, Liv put that down, Liv be still while I fix your hair, Liv just choose a vitamin they are all the same, Liv brush your teeth faster, Liv hurry up. After about 5 minutes of this, Liv put her hands on her hips and looked at me like she was very perturbed. “Mommy!” she exclaimed, “I am mad at you because you run me too hard!” I told her it was ok to feel mad at mommy, but I needed her to do it faster. Another 5 minutes, in the same hurried manner, passed and we headed out the door towards school and work. In the car I asked Liv if she was still mad at Mommy. She replied, “Nope, I’m over it now.”
Moral of the story: Wake up a bit earlier so you don’t run your kids so hard in the morning
